About Us
New Era Fiber was founded in Dawsonville, GA. We have a reputation for providing quality yarns to our customers, winning many alpaca industry awards for mill skein yarns. Today, New Era Fiber is located in Gallatin, Tennessee. We employ several full time people to process suri and huacaya alpaca fleece as well as llama fleece.
The quality that customers have come to expect from us continues today, and you can be assured that each fleece is treated like our own. We process to meet the expectations of not only you but your spinning, knitting, and weaving customers.
New Era Fiber LLC is an alpaca and llama fiber processing company. We provide award winning yarns and roving for the quality conscious knitter, crocheter, weaver or fiber artist. We have also developed a line of original knitting & crocheting patterns.
We have developed a line of original knitting patterns for use with alpaca fiber. These special patterns allow for the use of 100% alpaca for scarves, gloves, sweaters, and more.
Our alpaca fiber is a natural hypo-allergenic product grown and processed in America. Alpacas are sheared yearly to maintain their health and to harvest their beautiful fleece.
Because we are alpaca owners and breeders ourselves, we understand why each alpaca fleece is special. Each fleece has an important use, from that very special cria fleece, to your favorite old guy’s fiber.
At New Era Fiber, we treat each lot of fiber the way we would want our own fiber to be handled. We can help you make decisions as to blending, combining, or yarn style. We can help you make the best choices to get the most value from your harvest. We pledge to continue the tradition of quality that New Era Fiber has established and maintained since its inception in 2000.
