Fiber Processing Prices
Prices Effective 10/01/2009
All prices are calculated per pound of fiber & per lot to be processed.
Example: You have one fleece, with a raw fiber weight of 2 lbs, to be processed by itself (Lot #1); and you have two other fleeces, with a combined raw fiber weight of 4.5 lbs, that you want processed together (Lot #2). Each lot will be priced individually using the list below.
Small Lots (less than 3 lbs)
Add $25 surcharge to total price for the lot.
Normal Lots (3 lbs or more)
Sorting, Grading, Picking and Washing (calculated on sorted weight)
With further processing - $8/lb
Suri surcharge add - $4/lb
Without further processing - $25/hr
Cleaning (pre-wash) or Cutting required beyond 30 minutes per fleece - $25/hr
Carding to Roving or Batts (calculated on picked weight)
Standard - $15/lb
Suri surcharge add - $5/lb
Pencil roving surcharge add - $4/lb
Carding, Spinning, Plying and Skeining (calculated on picked weight)
Plying is 2-ply standard; Skeining is 3.5-4oz(100g) per skein (custom size available on requst); Fingerling, Sport, DK or Worsted weights available on request.
Standard - $30/lb
Suri surcharge add $5/lb
Dyeing (calculated on finished weight)
Fiber we have processed into roving or yarn.
$20/lb finished yarn weight or $5/skein
Specialty Yarns (calculated on finished weight)
Fiber blending for tweed and/or novelty
Cost of all additional materials plus $1/oz
Knitting Services
We will commission hand or machine knittings from your yarn. We offer garments, scarves, blankets and many others to choose from. All work is job priced so please call for pricing.
